About the ServSafe® Training Program
The ServSafe® food safety program is the premier
training curriculum for the hospitality industry. This
curriculum is presented throughout the United States in either
a two-day or one-day program. The ServSafe® Essentials (fifth
edition) book is used for the one-day program. The
one-day program requires participants to complete a minimum
of 8 hours of home study and completed text book exercises
prior to class admittance. This program provides
the latest science-based information for managers and food
handlers to safely receive, store, prepare, cook, hold,
cool, reheat and serve food.
ServSafe® Certifications are valid for a period of five
years. A minimum test score of 75% is needed to achieve
food safety certification with the National Restaurant Association
Education Foundation. |
