About Tap Series Training
The TAP FSMC
program has been the subject of Federal and State sponsored
studies conducted by two major universities.
Ohio State Department of Health required study conducted
by The Ohio State University Study participants
included people with educational levels ranging from
Master of Science degree to those who could not read.
This study achieved a 100% certification examination
pass rate.
A Federal Grant Study conducted by the University of
Illinois compared the TAP FSMC program to a traditional
college level classroom course and concluded, "...no significant difference
in course performance or test scores were found" and
that the program is "…an acceptable and
appropriate alternative for traditional lecture-based sanitation
training."
TAP Pass Assurance Standards (PAS) warranty: The
Ohio Study achieved its 100% certification examination pass
rate by developing a set of study standards and requiring
their use. These same study standards are now the PAS
warranty study standards. Standards that, when followed
by the student, assure that if the examination is not passed
the student will be re-trained and re-examined again at no
further cost.
